In today’s episode we are joined by Dr. Frank Naeymi-Rad, Philanthropist, Co-Founder of IMO – ‘Intelligent Medical Objects’ – a publicly listed company, and Founder & Executive Chairman of ‘Leap of Faith’ Technologies. He turned his doctoral research into a business that has become the premier terminology vendor for Electronic Health Records, and is now used by about 85% of all physicians and nurses in English speaking countries.

He tells the extraordinary lengths he went to to get on his feet when he first came to the US from Iran as a student. His excitement in knowing that if you work hard you can make it in the United States even when you start with nothing.

He explains the importance of electronic health records and how ai can play an important role in the patient journey, with the use of ai agents as care companions who are provided with the journey instructions from the provider. It’s a peek into the future, where ai agents could gather information from the patient after their doctor’s visit, then provide the data they gather to the problem solving ai agent, who can then become an asset for the provider who is caring for the patient.

Dr. Naeymi-Rad talks about the various stages of a building a value proposition after developing an idea and what it takes to turn your idea into a successful business. He tells us about the internship he is running, “See One, Do One, Build One” with 25 Masters in Computer Science interns.

He goes on to tell us that he invested in Leap of Faith Technologies to use it as a vehicle to support startups in the space of patient engagement.

We finish our discussion with his Publications and Patents, ai and what excites him today in his field and his philanthropic endeavors.

Truly one of the most humble, interesting and fascinating people I have ever met.
