I have to give kudos to Paula Bennett, Founder and Editor of GrailMag.com, for hiring Daryn LaBier to photograph me for the launch of her new publication Grail Magazine.  Grail Magazine is a unique curated luxury lifestyle guide to businesses and resources for the affluent consumer.

Friends and clients have been asking me who the photographer was. His name is Daryn LaBier, he resides in San Francisco and specializes in Conceptual Advertising Photography, Travel / Documentary, as well as Environmental Portraiture.  With clients like the US Army, athletic company TRX, and Grail Magazine, Daryn’s work encompasses both raw grittiness as well as immaculately styled lifestyle photography.  Daryn LaBierWhatever your creative needs are, I highly recommend him.  He was a joy to work with.  Daryn can be reached at 415-238-5135 or via email at [email protected].  You must check out his amazing website! Be on the look out for his new Drone Still and Motion endeavors coming soon.

I love that he is a storyteller.  He really captures people and environments; creating compelling and surreal visuals.

After meeting this dynamic man, I was struck by his kind and gentle manner, his creativity and sensitivity to executing a vision that we had not yet figured out.  What was also very interesting was the fact that before becoming a professional photographer, he was a Reconnaissance Scout in the Army. It was there he found his love of the camera, devoting his days to operating video surveillance. The Vermont native spent his time in the military in Kosovo and Germany where he became a sergeant; still enamored by the camera. One of Daryn’s first missions when he became a civilian was to teach himself the basics of photography and editing images. And that he did. Today he is known for his cutting-edge, thought-provoking conceptual work.
